Dirk, You can't blame society alone. It's something you cannot control, but your conscious thought that "its all society's fault" says that you are aware that something is wrong. Society is not making you do this, YOU are. You can have recovery. You have to want it.

I wasn't saying it was a disease in the sense that you can go and 'catch' it, obviously you cannot. It is a serious psychological illness.Have either of you ever suffered from an eating disorder? There's no way you can talk about it if you haven't.
