That is a very naïve assumption. The British pound has been sliding down faster than the euro lately what with the bank crisoes is in the UK and the UK government's fumbling response. Also, with or without the euro, the UK is still very dependent on trade with the EU so if the euro (and the EU) goes bust, wellit will affect you/your pound just as much as the US credit crisis is affecting the world economy. We are all connected.

As a marxist and a socialist - I resent that. The EU is more akin to a feudal state, what with the intrigues, the favoritism, the lack of democracy, the corruption and favouritism and their hatred and disdain of the unshaven masses. Even Fidel Casto is more transparent and patriotich the the EU will ever be.

European Unity is not a bad idea in principle but the current setup is nothing more than a corrupt Marxist superstate. The vision Hitler had for Europe was much better...a Europe for Europeans, not Asians, South Americans and Africans - ruled over by greedy Jew bankers! In fact, it was Hitler who drew up the plans for European Unity, he even gave it it's first name (European Economic Community). I'll stand by the idea if they ever return to the roots, but the current setup...NO THANKS!

actually it rules all european countries through the constitution (Libons Treaty) and the European parlement where most of the laws and regulations for the E.U. countries are made. What do you think about the Lisbon treaty?

bravo Europe from the state of Greece.I have to mention that a tiny country called FYROM with the help of USA,is stealing the greek history of ALEXANDER THE GREAT with saying that it was fyromian (slav)and with saying that macedonia is not greek and european but FYROMS.They want to conquer greek and european land.We need support from Europe my brothers.Please help us.History is history and cannot be changed

The E.U. has nothing to to with dictatorship. It is a tool of european imperialism but since it does not actually rule any land, it can't be a dictatorship.

"A European superstate? With countries whom hate each others guts? Wow, im sure that would get far. Leave it as it is, but hell no to a superstate. I am British, and no matter what you say, it wont change that. "Hey im british too and i realize how nationalist and backwards our country really is! Why not join hands with our pals across the sea, they arent enemies and they dont hate us but i expect they do laff at our naive 'Imperial British jingoistic patriotism' XD
